This week I had my first mentor visit! I went to Lawler middle school where my mentor works, and I observed him teaching a class. This week I was watching to see how the class worked, before I start teaching the class. Which is scary but exciting but mostly scary. I already wrote up a lesson plan, but I still don’t really know what I’m doing. I don’t know a lot of the warm ups the kids do, and I don’t really know them well enough to help them yet.I don't really even know the kids yet. I hope it goes well. I also had my research speech this week. I stressed a lot over that thing, and redid my slideshow three times. I was mostly worried because the speech had to be 8-10 minutes long, and I rush when I get nervous. But I ended up being alright, and I actually almost went over time probably because I said "Um" for a better part of the speech, but next time will be better.
