It’s been easy week in ISM so far. I’ve been redoing a lot of my portfolio for the upcoming portfolio checks. Mostly to revise a lot of it, but also because it’s kind of fun to look over all the work I’ve done. It didn’t really seem like a lot of work when I was doing it, (sometimes) but looking back over everything, there’s a lot more paper than I remembered. My mentor visits have been going well also, I’m starting to feel more comfortable teaching. One thing I’m still struggling is finding a balance of fun and learning. I have to find a way of keeping the kids entertained so they’ll still be focused, but not going overboard. I guess I’m funnier in my head than out loud. Maybe I’m subconsciously too scared of getting way off track and not accomplishing anything during class. Either way it’s taking practice, but I think I’m getting better at it.
