This past week was somewhat fun. Firstly, I had to pick my ISM quote and mission statement. Both were pretty easy, especially since I kind of already had my quote picked out. ("Let the music commence from inside" -Jonathon Larson). The mission statement was a little bit harder, just because I'm still kind in the stage of not knowing what I'm doing, but I think captures my philosophy. (My mission is to spread leadership and wisdom through music). After that we started working on resumes. Doing my resume was also somewhat easy, because I just had to polish my old resume. And by polish I mean re-do but I mostly had good information on it. But doing the resume made me realize how much of a person gets lost on paper, and how important it is to make that paper look good. I’m also going to have to start making a contact list of people to call about scheduling an interview. I’m more nervous about doing “warm calls” with people I already know than cold calls. I guess I’m better at talking to people I don’t know rather than those I do. Not really sure why. I also decided that I hated my website, and I completely redid it. I’m really trying to make everything seems very professional and not like a high schooler made it. This next week I’ll start making that contact list and maybe even calling people!
